Terms of Service
Last updated: July 22, 2026
These terms cover your use of ShiftSteward — the website at shiftsteward.com and the iOS app — operated by Gnomon, LLC. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
Accounts
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials to yourself. Provide accurate details, and keep your email address current so reminders and account notices reach you. You must be old enough to form a contract where you live; see the Privacy Policy for how we treat minors.
Organizations and their data
Organizations control their own schedules, member lists, and messages. If you join an organization, its coordinators and administrators can see your participation and manage your membership, including removing you. If you administer an organization, you are responsible for the people you invite and for using volunteer contact details only for coordinating that organization’s work.
Subscriptions and payment
Volunteers use ShiftSteward at no charge. Organizations subscribe on the website: a one-week trial for $1, then the monthly rate for the plan chosen, billed automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe. You can cancel any time from Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and we do not prorate partial months. Prices may change with notice to the account administrator before the change applies. Nothing is sold inside the iOS app.
Acceptable use
Do not use ShiftSteward to break the law, to harass people, to send unsolicited marketing to volunteers, to probe or disrupt the service, or to scrape data you were not given access to. We may suspend accounts or organizations that do these things.
Availability and support
We work to keep the service running and back it up, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties. Scheduled maintenance and occasional interruptions happen. Support is available at support@shiftsteward.com.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Gnomon, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount the organization paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using ShiftSteward at any time and delete your account from Profile. An organization can cancel its subscription from Settings → Billing. We may end an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, with notice where practical.
Changes, law, and contact
If we change these terms materially we will update the date above and notify account administrators. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Gnomon, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions: support@shiftsteward.com.
